Tiossan body wash and body lotions are based on ancient Senegalese recipes that have been refined by the sophistication of Paris and the edgy cultural melange of San Francisco, so that they can serve as a source of sensuality and power for the modern woman. Tiossan's four femmes skin care line contains all-natural, powerful healing ingredients discovered over thousands of years of cultural experience, time tested and now validated by modern science: All of our products include ORGANIC Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis), indigenous to northern Africa, ORGANIC Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa), indigenous to the Middle East, and introduced to Senegal through the Islamic traders via Timbuktu more than a thousand years ago and ORGANIC Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), indigenous to west Africa. Tiossan products are a manifestation of Magatte's life as a woman of three cultures: Dakar - Paris - San Francisco. Our skin care products are based on sacred recipes which Magatte learned from a traditional practitioner in Senegal, which she then modernized for the U.S. market with the help of some of the best green chemists of California, who were able to stabilize and refine the products using plant-derived natural and organic ingredients. She then scented the products using her contacts in the traditional French perfumers craftsmen to express the essence of the four femme personas that form the foundation of all our skin care product lines. The more deeply we at Tiossan have developed our own relationship with the four femmes, the more important they have become to all that we do. We live with them day in, day out, and love how they talk to us.
